I bought these curtains to block the sunlight coming into my Florida room ( aka Lanai/ closed in porch ). They have successfully blocked out the rays that were making the room a heat sink . These are heavyweight curtains , so you had better install strong hooks , or extra strong curtain rods with equally strong brackets if you are going to mount them like typical curtains . If not , just buy strong hooks to mount securely to whatever structure the curtains will hang from . Thankfully , these were available in the oddball size that I needed ! I am so pleased with them !
